We talk a big talk about being punks and sh*t-starters, but there is one thing we take really seriously: the environment.

 

Suppliers

We source all of our ingredients from responsible suppliers and favor organic, non-GMO, hormone and antibiotic-free foods.

 

Food Waste

We composed all of our wasted food and we donate excess prepared food to local homeless shelters.

 

Electric Ovens

Wood-burning ovens consume trees at an incredible-rate and need to be burned 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Our extremely energy-efficient ovens are capable of baking at the same 900+ degrees Fahrenheit as those wood-burning ovens, but with no carbon footprint.

 

No Bottles, Cans or Throw-Aways

Our motto is zero waste in the first place. We have 60 beer taps and other dispensed beverages, so you’ll still have the large selections you expect.

 

No Straws

We have straws on hand if you really want them, but you’ll have to ask. We don’t initially put straws in drinks because plastic straws will soon outnumber the fish in our oceans. Our goal is to use as few as possible.

 

Recyclable Materials

Any paper products you see at Firecracker are recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable, including our pizza boxes and other to-go containers.

 

It’s the Little Things

Our commitment to the environment flows all the way down to energy-efficient lighting and bathroom facilities, plus earth-friendly cleaning products. We are members of the St. Louis Green Dining Alliance at the highest-rated level.
